Depart JFK

Day 2

Land in Madrid:  Check in and unwind.  Recommended walking or bus tour of city and tapas sampling in the Market San Miguel and las Cuevas.  Afternoon guided tour of Palacio Real and Optional tour of Prado Museum.  Included dinner. Venture back into Madrid known for its night life.  Visit small restaurants bars and cervecerias.

Day 3 and 4

Ribera del Duero Region: Stay the night in a winery and tour the local vineyards.  Two days of tasting and touring some of the best wines of Spain with your own expert guide.  Visit the Bodega el Romellon an unforgettable subterranean bodega where you will taste wines from the region and sample some of the regions premium charcuterie.   On your travels enjoy a typical meal of the region.

Day 5 and 6

Navarra y Rioja Travel to the Basque country known for rich reds and gastronomy.  Guided tours and tastings.  The city Logroño was an old settlement, first of the Romans, a commercial port, and then of the Celts. It is the perfect location in the heart of Rioja to enjoy both the lively culture of Basque country with food and wines.

Day  7

Barcelona:   Walking tour of Gothic neighborhood, Guided tour of La Sagrada Familia and Parque Güell; Gaudí’s masterpieces. Free time to explore and discover Barcelona Las Ramblas and Barcelona beach.

Day 8

Full day tour of Montserrat, lunch and wine tasting. Evening free in Barcelona.

Day 9

Depart Barcelona to JFK NYC

Day 4 thru 6

Santiago de Compostela:  The green northwestern corner of Spain is the destination of the Camino de Santiago, one of the most important pilgrimages in the world as well as some of Spain’s best wines.  This incredible city with the famous baroque cathedral and incredible seafood will be the home base for visits to some of the best vineyards in Rias Baixas the and Bierzo regions.

Day 7

Porto, Portugal: Walking tour of this incredible costal city. Port wine and chocolate tasting in the afternoon.

Day 8 and 9

Lisbon: Guided walking tour of city: recommended visit to Mercado da Ribeira (Time out Market) for sampling of best cuisine and wines.  Recommended night of Fado and experiencing Lisbon.

Tour and tasting of Maria Da Fonseca Vinhos.

Day 10

Free day:  Recommended day trip to Cascais or beaches of Lisbon.

Depart Lisbon to JFK
