Depart: Depart NYC to Lisbon
Day 2
Land in Lisbon transport to Cascais, Portugal. Known as the Portuguese Riviera. This beautiful coastal city is not far from both the capital city of Lisbon and Sintra the natural rugged coast.
Day 3
Day trip to Lisbon Guided walking tour of city: Baixa and Praiça do Comércio.
- Guided tour of Jéronimos Monestary
- Belém Tower and taste the pastais de Belém incredible custard desserts made by monks.
- And sample local traditional food at the Time Out Market
Day 4
Day trip to Sintra: A longtime royal sanctuary, its forested terrain is studded with pastel-colored villas and palaces. The Moorish- and Manueline-style Sintra National Palace is distinguished by dramatic twin chimneys and elaborate tilework. The hilltop 19th-century Pena National Palace is known for a whimsical design and sweeping views.
Day 5
Depart for Porto: The second largest city along the coast and Douro River. Guided tour of Church of St. Francis, Livraria Lello Book store.
Day 6
Guided walking tour and boat tour of Porto.
Day 7
Depart for Coimbra or Fatima: Coimbra: Home of the one of the Oldest Universities in Europe, founded in 1290AD and the Original capital of Portugal. Tour the university and unforgettable library, the Old Cathedral and Santa Cruz Church.
Fatima: In 1917 the children professed the apparition of Our Lady. Celebrating the centennial it’s one of the most important locations for the Catholic faithful. Explore, visit the Basilica, attend mass and see the impressive light display at night.
Day 8
Lisbon: End your trip in the capital: Enjoy a day of shopping, relaxing at the beach and exploring.
Day 9
Depart for NYC, USA
